SCKF Kata Seminar 2024

- bento $12 each (7dan covered by SCKF)

- tentative schedule:
- 8:30 sign in/turn in bento payment, closes 8:45am
- 9:00 line up and introduction
- 9:10 start seminar (1 break)
- 12:00 lunch
- 1:00 restart seminar (1 break)
- 3:20 line up and closing
- attendance is restricted to 2 dan and above who already know and can
perform the basics of all 10 kata
- all dojo head instructors and assistant instructors are encouraged to
attend
especially if any of your kenshi has ever failed kata at shinsa
- bring the following:
- bokuto set (tachi and kodachi)
- keikogi and hakama
- tare and nafuda
- bento payment (if paying by check, make payable to
Southern California Kendo Federation, one check per dojo)
- note: starting in April 2024, applicants for 3dan and above shinsa
(including kodansha/shogo ranks) must have attended one kata seminar and
one shinpan seminar within the previous 2 years
