Veil Nebula (Cygnus Loop)

The Veil Nebula / Cygnus Loop is the remnant of a 20 solar mass supernova estimated to have exploded 10,000 - 20,000 years ago. The apparent size in the sky is actually huge (6 times larger than the moon), which would be easily visible to our eyes if we could see such a dim object.
