Numerous clouds, sporadic activity from the Taurid meteor shower, and a very sparse Leonid meteor shower made for a disappointing night. But a Leonid fireball finally made an appearance shortly before dawn while Venus, Jupiter, and Mars aligned in the glow of the Zodiacal light. The fireball left a "smoke" trail which persisted for a few minutes as can be seen in this time-lapse sequence.
