Fog and clouds near the horizon frustrated my attempt to catch the
first contact in this occultation of Venus, but fortunately the Moon and
Venus cleared the cloud layer for the reappearance of Venus. Considering
the cloudiness which developed during the rest of the day, I'm thankful
to have seen anything at all!
This shot was snapped just as Venus completely cleared the Moon's edge.
