This was a test shot with a fish-eye lens for my Pentax medium format camera.
This was taken in the early morning hours at the Riverside Telescope Makers'
Convention held annually near Big Bear, CA at an altitude of about 7500 feet.
Near the horizon, Scorpius can be seen, partially lost in the glow
of the cities to the south. The entire summer triangle asterism can be
seen in the upper left. On the original transparency, the North
America nebula can be seen in the extreme left corner. |
