This shot was taken as Mars was getting low in the southwest and seeing was already deteriorating. The processed image is a stack of 44 frames processed in Registax and filtered in Photoshop using a 1 minute segment of video just prior to a sudden jump in the image of Mars and deterioration in the seeing, as if Mars had passed behind a markedly different layer of the atmosphere.
