The Blood Bank has agreed to make this a public charging location. Of course, they'd like you to donate a few gallons of blood while you're charging ... but that's optional. Call 916-456-1500 to check donor hours and make appointments.

Something new on the list of things to do while charging -- give blood! There are also several restaurants and fast food places within walking distance of the location, which is close to freeways, and in a part of town not near other chargers.

This charger is in the first floor of the covered garage at the Sacramento Medical Foundation Blood Center, 1625 Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento 95816. Thomas Brothers Map location 297-F6. One inductive charger, serving two EV reserved spaces. As you enter the parking structure, the charger is on your immediate left.

This location is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you see a silver blue EV1 license PLG NPLA charging there, feel free to park alongside and remove the paddle at any level to plug into your EV1. Just put the paddle back when you leave.

From US-50 West, take the Stockton Blvd. exit, turn right at the end of the off-ramp onto Stockton Blvd. The Blood Center is on your right, about three short blocks up Stockton Blvd. Go past the main building, and into the parking lot. Proceed into the parking structure at the rear of the parking lot.

From US-50 East, take the 34th St. exit. Turn left on 34th St., and left on Stockton Blvd. The Blood Center is on your right. Enter the parking lot at the driveway after the main building, and proceed into the parking structure at the rear of the parking lot.

From Capital City Freeway East (Bus. 80), take the T St. exit. Turn right on T St., left on Alhambra, right on Stockton Blvd. The Blood Center is on your left. Enter the parking lot at the driveway before the main building, and proceed into the parking structure at the rear of the parking lot.

From Capital City Freeway West (Bus 80), take the P St. exit. Proceed along 29th St., turn left on Q St., left on Alhambra, right on Stockton. The Blood Center is on your left. Enter the parking lot at the driveway before the main building, and proceed into the parking structure at the rear of the parking lot.
