The Southern California Kendo Federation (SCKF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and is the largest kendo organization in the United States. It currently comprises 21 kendo and iaido dojo, ranging from Camarillo in the north to to San Diego in the south, and includes several satellite dojo in Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. In addition to the four to six local tournaments and two shinsa (promotional examinations) it puts on each year, SCKF also conducts kendo-related seminars and hosts visitors from the All Japan Kendo Federation and other places around the world. The SCKF is a member and supporter of the All United States Kendo Federation and the International Kendo Federation.
